Master Bedroom, Dressing Room, & Master Bathroom Suite
The Master bathroom was our first challenge in this project. Together we paired Crêma Marfil floor and wall tiles with glass splash backs that were back painted in Farrow & Ball Rectory Red and followed around the room at dado rail height, these were lit with an LED light strip. The main focal point of the room was the large curved vanity unit with his & her sinks and a Crêma Marfil marble top. Above is a large mirror with hidden cupboards behind the glass. The mirror surround is hand painted in Farrow & Ball Rectory Red.

Sanitary ware was provided by CP Hart Bathrooms and all brass ware is by Samuel Heath in the style Moderne collection, adding beautiful art deco features into the space making it both unique and contemporary.

Linked to the master bathroom is the master dressing room. Our client wanted large fitted wardrobes that are tailored to all of their belongings giving everything its own place. We added a both full and half height hanging along with a range of drawers, wicker baskets, shelves and pull out shoe drawers.

The dressing table is hand painted in Farrow & Ball Nancy Blushes and has a lift up central mirror with jewellery divisions lined with red leather.

The master bedroom has two large wardrobes that mimic some of the storage features in the dressing room. These wardrobes have been painted in Farrow & Ball Cooking Apple Green. The rest of the furniture in the room is made up of a set of bedside tables, large chest of drawers, mirrors and blanket box at the end of the bed with an upholstered pad lid.

For the cloakroom we used a scaled down version of the vanity unit in the master bathroom again with Samuel Heath brass wear and CP Hart sanitary ware. Matched board tongue and groove paneling runs around the walls at dado rail height and is painted in Little Green All Blue as is the vanity unit.

On the first floor, we created two masculine boy’s bedrooms. All of the furniture for both rooms have been made using solid English Brown Oak and Burr Oak. Fitted wardrobes with hand cut scribes allows us to be able to deal with awkward angled ceiling maximizing storage space. Each room has a fitted desk with a radiator cover and Armac Martin grille. A ‘pop-up’ plug deck has been installed for user ease.

All soft furnishings in this project have been provided by Twist Interiors – www.twist-interiors.co.uk

Our Kitchen redesigned and reconstructed from scratch in 2010.

Hutchinson Furniture came up with by far the best design ideas and even incorporated a design motif we had used in our hallway doors thus integrating the new with the older part of the house.

They stripped the kitchen to bare brick and concrete, even removing the ceiling so as to make installation of 23 light fittings easier. Their builder knocked through to the dining room and re-plastered where needed. Plumber, electricians and a long run by the kitchen fitter followed putting in place the units specified, designed and constructed to order.

Life is disrupted while the process goes on but it is well worthwhile when completed and we are still delighted with the result even after using it for over four years now.

We found them at the Grand Design Live Show at the NEC and their work deserves to be up there with the best of Grand Designs.”

We asked Hutchinson Furniture to design a bespoke bookcase, corridor table and another table.  They were brilliant.  The designs were exceptional, the craftsmanship exquisite and they delivered on time and in full.  We are delighted with the results which enhance our home greatly.  Thank you Will Hadland and team Hutchinson.  We will be back!

When we decided to extend and design a new kitchen, we thoroughly researched kitchen companies in the Oxfordshire area. It was only after a chance conversation with someone that Hutchinson Furniture was suggested. From the initial enquiring phone call, to a site visit at their showroom and manufacturing unit in Long Compton, we knew we had found the right kitchen company for us. Their attention to detail, flexibility, communication, guidance, advice, and exceptional quality and customer care, has been exemplary. Choosing a local company who uses meticulously chosen, locally grown wood, was also a huge draw for us. Having a new kitchen is both exciting and a huge upheaval, however, Hutchinson Furniture were always there for us, every step of the way, delivering over and above with their customer care. Their kitchen fitters were also a credit – always well mannered, on time and tidy! Our kitchen is now the most popular room in our house, and we love and admire it on a daily basis! We have no hesitation in highly recommending Hutchinson Furniture and Interiors to anyone.
